Making new friends

I started going to Criccieth as a camper when I was 15, and I'm about to embark on my 6th camp. So, needless to say, it has definitely been a highlight of each year.

Initially as a camper, I was worried about making friends, as I'd only gone with one other girl I knew, but everyone in my tent was really fun and it was encouraging to find other 'normal' Christians my age.

I actually met my best friend on camp, and, even though we don't live near each other, we are still really close. Together with the rest of our tent, we had a great time going on the activities, having tent times and the evening talks were always really good, and done in a way that really grabbed our attention.

Camp was a great impact on my life as a Christian, which is why I've returned to be a leader. And hey! You never know... you could meet the person you're going to marry on camp!
