At Criccieth Adventure, we take a serious approach to safety. At the same time we want young people not to lose out on enjoyment and learning through unnecessary restrictions. Therefore we are not afraid to run plenty of energetic and fun activities, such as wide games, night hikes and lots of sports. We believe that the young people have applied to an adventure holiday and Snowdonia has some fantastic places to go; so we ensure we deliver what they have signed-up for.
For the outward bound activities, such as climbing, abseiling and mountain walking; we are regulated by the Adventure Activities Licensing Authority and subject to regular inspections. We use qualified instructors, familiar with the local area. For other activities, we have responsible leaders, knowledgeable in good working practice.
A number of activities are run under third-party providers, such as archery and kayaking. They are all qualified by the relevant bodies and we are confident in their working practices.
Nonetheless there is always the risk that accidents happen. We have procedures in place and there are qualified first-aiders on site. Most years there is at least one health-care professional on site who can add their expert knowledge to any problems we may have.
If you have any questions or concerns, then don't hesitate to get in touch with us and we can answer any questions you may have.
